1. Who we are (data controller)

Find My Driving Instructor is operated by Integrix LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, USA. Contact: hub@findmydrivinginstructor.uk.

2. What data we collect

• Instructors: name, email, phone, postcode/coverage area, vehicle and lesson details, pricing, badge/DBS status, bio, and account credentials.
• Learners/pupils: name, contact (email/phone), postcode, transmission preference, test date/centre, lesson history, progress records, prepaid balance, messages and homework.
• Enquiries: details a learner submits to contact or be matched with an instructor.
• Technical: session cookies, a "remember me" token, and standard server logs (including IP address).

3. Why we process it and our lawful basis

• To provide the service (diary, matching, messaging, payments records) - contract.
• To match learners with instructors and show relevant results - legitimate interests.
• To send lesson reminders and account emails - contract / legitimate interests.
• Cookies and any marketing - consent.

4. AI lesson debriefs

If an instructor uses the AI debrief feature, the lesson notes they enter are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate a pupil-facing summary. Do not enter more personal data than necessary. The provider processes it to return the summary and does not use it to train their models.

5. Sharing and third parties

We share data only as needed to run the service: payment links go directly to each instructor's own Stripe account (we do not receive card details); geocoding uses postcodes.io; email/hosting is provided by our hosting provider; AI debriefs use Anthropic. Instructors and their own pupils see each other's relevant details to arrange lessons.

6. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy or standard contractual clauses).

7. Retention

We keep personal data for as long as an account is active and as needed for our legitimate business and legal obligations, then delete or anonymise it.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed; access links are token-secured; transport is over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take appropriate technical and organisational measures.

9. Children

Some learners are under 18. Where we process a minor's data we act with additional care in line with the ICO Age Appropriate Design Code. Parents/guardians can contact us about a young person's data.

10. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your data, and to data portability. To exercise these, email hub@findmydrivinginstructor.uk. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

We may update this notice; the date above shows the latest version.
